Stony Brook Gate House is built.

[1883] Architect: H.H. Richardson. It is located at 125 Fenway. The facility is used to regulate the amount of storm water that flows from the Muddy River through the Old Stony Brook Conduit into the Charles River. A more modern companion building is built in 1905. The original building is decommissioned in the 1970s and converted to the Emerald Necklace Conservancy Visitor and Volunteer Center by Ann Beha Architects in 2011.
